"The project is a private villa located in Istanbul, at the newly developing part of the city. The 2 story villa is sitting on a 1440sq meters area. Have a wonderful view from the hills, covering all the city horizon. The building itself is a very modern space.
I have a passion for Parisian style interiors, but merging them with a modern clean interior with middle high ceilings and modern architecture is always a challenge.
I took the prior elements of the style, the skirtings moldings and proportions and clearified them to structure on a relatively smaller space. To protect the masculine atmosphere, I left all the colors except the black and white. Bringing down the color palette to 2 to 3 colors and materials gives space a better and cleaner personality. Choosing an art wallpaper instead of frames are supporting the main axes of the room. Black wooden ceiling with vintage light bulbs is providing more depth and contrast to balancing negative space in the concept."
